Turns out, avoiding legal problems has a pretty good ROI.
Over the last 12 months, we’ve helped more than 20 medical practices launch, giving physicians the legal foundation to open their doors with more confidence. As an Atlanta healthcare lawyer, my role is not simply to draft documents. It is to help physicians make smarter decisions about the businesses and careers they’re building.

That has meant helping physicians achieve an 8–10x return on their investment through compensation negotiations, while helping practice owners identify compliance gaps before they become fines, penalties, patient complaints, or expensive audit findings. Sometimes the best legal result is the problem you never have to deal with.
My niche: Georgia healthcare lawyering without the ick.
Hi, I'm Angie. I help physicians and medical practice owners make the legal side of running a practice considerably less painful.
Over nearly a decade of practicing law, I’ve learned that the legal issues that cost physicians the most rarely start out looking like big problems. A contract provision gets overlooked. A practice outgrows its original documents. A compliance shortcut becomes the thing everyone wishes they had fixed six months earlier.

As an Atlanta healthcare lawyer, I help physicians make those decisions before they become expensive problems.
That means looking beyond the document in front of me to understand how your practice actually operates, where the meaningful risks are, and what is worth your time and money to fix.

Whether you’re launching a practice, growing your team, negotiating a physician contract, or trying to figure out what your existing legal setup is missing, you’ll get plain-English advice, practical recommendations, flat fees, and direct access to your attorney.

That’s Lawyering Without the Ick.

Still not sure which legal service fits?
That's what the Fit Call is for.

From there, we’ll help you identify whether Edmonds Law has a service that matches your needs and explain the best next step for working with the firm.

Frequently Asked Questions I Get as a Atlanta Healthcare Lawyer
1) How do I know which Georgia healthcare legal service I need?
You don’t need to diagnose your own legal problem before contacting us. Start with what you’re trying to accomplish. If you’re launching a practice, hiring a team, reviewing a physician contract, buying or selling a practice, or fixing a specific compliance issue, we likely have a service designed around that problem. The options above will point you toward the best starting place. Still not sure? Book a free 15-minute Fit Call. Our Intake Coordinator will learn what’s going on and help you identify the appropriate service or paid consultation. TL;DR: Tell us the problem. We’ll help you figure out the legal service.
3) How do I know if I need Legal Diagnosis or AuditShield?
Legal Diagnosis is usually a good starting point if you’re a solo physician launching without staff. We’ll review two of the legal systems most important to your practice, such as your patient consents + HIPAA compliance or your patient consents + a key vendor contract. And don’t worry about figuring out which two systems you need reviewed. I’ll make that recommendation based on your practice structure, specialty, and biggest areas of risk. AuditShield is generally the better fit if your practice is more complex from the start. For example, if you’re launching with employees, multiple clinicians, or multiple clinical service lines, such as primary care plus aesthetic services, a five-system review gives us room to evaluate the practice more comprehensively. Need something in between? If you need three or four systems reviewed instead of two, you can add additional systems to Legal Diagnosis for $1,500 each. TL;DR: Solo + simple launch? Start with Legal Diagnosis. Staff, multiple providers, or multiple service lines? AuditShield is likely the better fit. You don’t have to figure it out yourself. I’ll recommend the appropriate scope.
2) What is it like working with Edmonds Law, and how do I get started?
Expect flat fees, clear next steps, direct attorney access, and very little legalese. Most engagements start with digital intake, followed by a defined scope of work so you know what we’re handling, what we need from you, and what it will cost before we begin. If you already know which service you need, you can start there. If you’re unsure, book a free Fit Call with our Intake Coordinator. If you need legal advice or document review before deciding what to do, we’ll recommend the appropriate paid consultation with Angie. TL;DR: Clear scope. Flat fee. Practical advice. Start with the service you need or a Fit Call if you’re unsure.
4) How much does it cost to work with an Atlanta healthcare lawyer?
We’re a flat-fee law firm. Period. You’ll know what your legal work costs before we start, and pricing for many of our most popular services is published right here on our website. Need something more customized? Tell us what you’re trying to accomplish, and we’ll build a custom proposal around the legal support you actually need. And sometimes, you don’t need a $5,000+ engagement. A focused consultation with Angie may be all you need to get your questions answered and know what to do next. Consultations start at $400, and flat-fee engagements start at $5,000. If a consultation is the right starting point, you can book directly with Angie online in just a few clicks. TL;DR: No hourly billing. Consultations start at $400. Flat-fee engagements start at $5,000. Know what you need? Book it. Need something custom? We’ll build the right scope.
