Physician Contract Review for Georgia Doctors Who Want to Know What They're Signing
Let's see what their "Standard Contract" actually means for you.
You've received a physician employment offer, a new contract, or a severance agreement.
Maybe the compensation looks great, but you're not sure how the productivity bonus works. Maybe the non-compete makes you nervous, or you're wondering what happens if you want to leave before the contract ends.
I don't just explain what's in your contract. I help you decide what to do about it.
Our $1,250 flat-fee physician contract review gives you direct access to a healthcare attorney who can explain what matters, what you may be able to negotiate, and what your agreement could mean for your career.

45-minute attorney consultation · Up to 50 pages · Personalized negotiation recommendations
Physician Contract Review: Because the Salary Is Only Part of the Offer.
You don't have to identify a legal problem before booking a review. If you're unsure how a provision affects your compensation, your schedule, or your ability to leave, that's reason enough to have an attorney take a look.
PHYSICIAN COMPENSATION
Is This Compensation Actually a Good Deal?
A guaranteed salary sounds great until you realize the productivity targets may be difficult to reach. We'll review the compensation formula, bonuses, wRVU expectations, and repayment obligations so you understand how the agreement could affect your earnings.
NON-COMPETES
Will This Non-Compete Keep Me From Practicing?
A restrictive covenant can affect where you work after leaving an employer. We'll explain the language in your agreement, discuss relevant Georgia law, and identify provisions worth questioning before you commit.
SCHEDULING & RESPONSIBILITIES
What Am I Agreeing to Do Every Day?
Call coverage, weekend schedules, patient volume, and NP/PA supervision responsibilities can make a seemingly attractive offer much less appealing. We'll help you understand what your employer can require and where the contract leaves important details unanswered.
TRANSITIONING
What Happens If I Want to Leave?
Termination notice, bonus repayment, malpractice tail coverage, and post-employment restrictions can make leaving expensive. We'll help you understand your exit obligations before they become a problem.
What's Included in Your $1,250 Physician Contract Review?
This isn't a quick glance at your agreement followed by a list of legal definitions. I review your contract before we meet, identify the provisions that deserve your attention, and spend our consultation helping you understand the decisions in front of you.
01 | Attorney Review of Your Agreement
I'll review your physician employment agreement or severance agreement, up to 50 pages, with attention to compensation, restrictive covenants, professional responsibilities, termination, and other material provisions.
02 | A 45-Minute Consultation With Angie
We'll walk through the contract together, discuss your priorities, and address the questions that matter most to your decision. You'll speak directly with me, not an associate or intake coordinator.
03 | Your Personalized Negotiation Cheat Sheet
You'll receive a one-page summary identifying the provisions that deserve attention, recommended changes, and practical talking points you can use when communicating with your employer.
04 | Seven Days of Follow-Up Email Support
After our session, you'll have seven days to ask follow-up questions about the recommendations we discussed.
Optional Add-On | Existing Non-Compete Review
Already employed and concerned that your current agreement could interfere with your next opportunity? Add a separate review of the restrictive covenants in your existing contract.
$500 additional flat fee.
$1,250 flat fee. No introductory call required.
A Physician Contract Review Should Give You More Than a List of Red Flags
You can read your contract five times and still wonder whether the compensation is reasonable, which provisions are negotiable, or whether you're making too much of something your employer says is "standard."
That's where I come in.
I don't believe every unusual provision is a dealbreaker, and I don't believe you should spend weeks negotiating language that won't meaningfully change your working conditions.
My job is to help you separate the terms that matter from the ones that don't.
Sometimes that means recommending a change to your compensation formula, negotiating an exception to a non-compete, or questioning a termination provision. Other times, it means explaining why a particular clause is common and unlikely to create the problem you're worried about.
The goal is for you to leave our session understanding your agreement and knowing what to do next.

Want a Physician Contract Attorney to Negotiate for You?
Some physicians are comfortable taking their negotiation recommendations back to the employer. Others would rather have an attorney handle those conversations.
I offer both options, but I don't recommend the more expensive one automatically.
Every negotiation engagement begins with an Understand My Physician Contract Session. During our consultation, we'll discuss which terms may realistically be improved, what those changes could be worth, and whether attorney-led negotiations make financial sense.
If I believe the potential benefit justifies the investment, I may recommend the $8,000 Physician Negotiation Suite, which includes attorney-led negotiations for up to 30 days and support through execution within the agreed scope.
If I don't think the additional legal fees are worthwhile, I'll tell you.
The Negotiation Suite is offered only after an initial contract review confirms that attorney-led negotiations are appropriate.

Experience reviewing agreements from Wellstar, Northside, Piedmont, and smaller hospitals and clinics outside of the metro Atlanta area.

Nearly 10 Years of Lawyering Taught Me That "Standard Contract" Doesn't Mean "Good Contract."
I've spent nearly a decade working with contracts, business disputes, and healthcare compliance. I've seen what happens when compensation terms are unclear, professional relationships break down, and people discover that the agreement they signed doesn't work the way they expected.
Today, I help physicians understand those risks before they commit.
I'm not interested in manufacturing problems or convincing you that every clause needs to be negotiated. I want you to understand what matters, what your options are, and where it's worth pushing back.
And if your contract is actually pretty good? I'll tell you that, too.
That's healthcare lawyering without the ick.

"I had less than a week to sign my contract..."
I had less than a week to sign my contract and was completely overwhelmed by the non-compete language and compensation structure. Angie broke everything down clearly, flagged the biggest issues, and even helped me weigh the pros and cons of negotiating several clauses. I walked away with a better deal and so much more peace of mind. Worth every dollar.

"I wasn't even sure I needed lawyer..."
I wasn’t sure if I even needed a lawyer until I started reading through the fine print of my offer. Angie helped me understand the impact of my call schedule, supervision duties, and what would happen if I ever needed to leave early. I felt empowered and informed—and best of all, there was zero legal jargon. Just smart advice from someone who really understands Georgia healthcare.

Physician Contract Review FAQs for Georgia Doctors
Is a physician contract review worth $1,250 if my employer says the agreement is standard?
"Standard" doesn't necessarily mean the terms are appropriate for your particular position.
Your compensation structure, call obligations, malpractice coverage, restrictive covenants, and termination provisions can affect your income and career options. During our review, I'll help you understand which provisions deserve attention and which may not be worth negotiating.
TL;DR: You don't need to find a problem before booking. The review helps you determine whether there is one.
Can you negotiate my physician employment agreement with the hospital or medical practice?
Yes, when attorney-led negotiations are likely to provide meaningful value.
Every negotiation engagement begins with the $1,250 Understand My Physician Contract Session. If we identify realistic opportunities for improvement and the potential benefit justifies the additional investment, I may offer the $8,000 Negotiation Suite.
TL;DR: We can handle negotiations, but we'll evaluate whether it's worth the investment first.
How quickly can I get my physician employment contract reviewed?
You can check our availability and book your physician contract review directly on our website. Most weeks, we have appointments available twice a week, so depending on when you book, you could have answers and a negotiation game plan within a few days. No preliminary consultation required.
Have an upcoming signing deadline? Book the first available appointment and email us with your deadline. We'll do our best to accommodate your timeline, although expedited availability isn't guaranteed.
Need additional documents reviewed? If your offer includes separate agreements, such as a stock purchase agreement, equity ownership documents, or other third-party contracts, those generally fall outside the scope of the Physician Contract Session. Our Contract Clarity Call ($1,750) may be a better fit, subject to its document and service limitations.
TL;DR: Appointments are posted online, typically twice a week. Book directly, let us know about urgent deadlines, and choose the right service if your offer includes additional agreements.
Can you review my current contract, severance agreement, or non-compete?
Yes. The Understand My Physician Contract Session can be used to review an eligible physician employment or severance agreement.
If you're evaluating a new opportunity and need separate analysis of a non-compete in your existing agreement, we offer a $500 add-on.
TL;DR: New offers, existing employment agreements, and severance agreements may qualify. Separate existing-contract non-compete analysis is available as an add-on.
